Arsene Wenger has revealed the latest Arsenal team news ahead of Sunday’s away trip to the Britannia Stadium. I am not quite sure why Arsenal.com published the news at 11pm on a Thursday; normally Wenger reveals all in Friday’s pre-match press conference, but apparently this week the club has decided to do things differently. That said, the news is pretty good (we have no new injuries and The Ox is back in the squad) so I’m not going to complain.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
“He should be back in the training group from Friday. He has not practiced with the team yet. But he should be in the squad for Stoke.”
Laurent Koscielny
“He will not be back. But he should definitely be back next week. So he should play in the game after Stoke.”
Lukasz Fabianski
“He should be OK. He has a test today [Thursday] and, normally, he will be back. He has had a problem with inflammation of the back.”
Other team news
“Touch wood, we have no further problems apart from the guys who are out in the longer term.”
The long-term injury players that Wenger is referring to are Tomas Rosicky, Jack Wilshere, Bacary Sagna and Emmanuel Frimpong. Le Boss will probably be able to go into more detail at his pre-match press conference tomorrow morning. There should also be some news on impending transfers (I am referring to Nuri Sahin in particular) which will attract a lot of interest. With one week left in the transfer window, people will want to know who Wenger is planning on signing. The latest reports from the British press conflict with those from Spain and suggest that Sahin is heading for Liverpool. We will have more on that shortly.

Happy when next Friday rolls around and we can dispense with all this transfer crap.
