Speaking in his pre-match press conference (ahead of our match against Manchester City on Sunday), Arsène Wenger gave an injury update for Jack Wilshere.
Wilshere has not featured for Arsenal this season; His last game was against New York Red Bulls in the Emirates Cup at the beginning of July.
Originally ruled out for a few weeks, Jack was then forced to undergo ankle surgery in September and would be out until after the new year.
Wenger confirmed that Jack underwent another scan yesterday and that the results were positive. If all is according to plan, he should be back in first-team action in around 2 months.
Positive scan results:
“He had a very important scan on thursday and that was very very good, exceptionally good. The news we have for Jack is very positive.”
Does this mean that he might be coming back sooner?
“No. We respect the delays, you know. You can count Jack for maybe mid February.”
