Poll Results: What do YOU think we should do with van Persie?

We released this poll yesterday evening, and we have already had over 1000 responses. As promised, this article will reveal the results as chosen by our readers. I naively gave the option of ‘other’, which has led to some strange and interesting ideas of what to do with our captain. These include:

  • Set him in concrete an stick him outside Emirates with Henry
  • Fuck him and sell to Anzhi for $1
  • Sell him to barcalona for a swap deal with david villa plus cash
  • Cut off his manhood and feed it to the goats
  • keep him, play him and in may let frimpong snap him in half in training
  • keep him cup tie him in champions league and EPL cups sell him in January
  • Swap him for Dzeko if possible
  • keep him, use in the reserves until he sees sense and signs a new contract

Well that just shows the range of feelings towards van Persie from the fans. There seems to be a lot of anger on Twitter and on blogs with regards to van Persie’s statement, which is understandable given that our captain, our leader, plainly stated he thinks the club is being run poorly.

As expected, more people voted for Robin to be sold abroad rather than to a Premier League rival, even if we were to receive less money for him. Plenty also thought he should be dropped as captain (which looks likely given Vermaelen will be skipper on the tour) and kept for the next season before letting him leave on a free. This option will probably lose Arsenal potential earnings, but it does mean that we won’t have to go through this gruelling transfer saga next summer – he will simply leave on a free.

Very few would sell him to Utd – I guess that is an indication of how much we despise the club, and also that a Rooney & van Persie combination would be deadly. It would almost definitely be the most talented strike force in the world, especially with Young, Nani and Valencia on the flanks and Kagawa behind them. It doesn’t even bear thinking about. I hope the Utd bid was simply a PR stunt to make it look like Sir Alex is looking to bring in star names. Or an attempt to bid up the price for City.

Not many are hopeful that van Persie will sign a new deal during the season. This is probably an indication of how little faith the fans have that we will turn things around. For example, if we are in all four competitions in February/March and going strong in the Premier League, van Persie may very well sign a new deal. But those who voted on the poll don’t see this as a likely scenario!

Don’t care anymore, football has gone to the dogs. It’s impossible to support your team when you don’t respect the players couldn’t give a monkeys where he goes

According to Robson,Wenger has signed too many underperforming players. These guys are on high wages and are not keen to move where they would get much less.Denilson,Vela,Ashvin,etc.
By getting rid of some of these players, Arsenal could have increased RVP’s wages to much more than offered.Getting rid of the likes of Denilson, etc could be a problem.
Wenger shd be blamed 100% for this fiasco and yet he seems to be getting more kids ,according to press reports. If RVP really moves and the gunners can’ compete, the fm shd go.

mr wong, i don’t agree, denilson was quite promising in his first season, you cant predict players that wont continue their early growth/development. Arshavin doesn’t fit the system, Vela has gone.

Greg you are spot on. Teams like Man City have corrupted football. Buying the 11 best players would in business be in breach of competition rules. how football is any different is ridiculous. Now anyone who has a good season thinks they deserve 200k a week and totally destabilizes their parent club to get a move to the sugar daddies.

Football is full of pansy ass c*nts now who just want their money. They’re all brainless and controlled by non talented money grabbing agents/parents. f*ck them.

    Put RVP in the reserves.
